Please come join us and discover what our Global Liberal Studies (GLS) program and Chukyo University have to offer on July 15 (Sat), 2023. If you are interested in studying in Japan in an English-medium learning environment then GLS may be the degree program for you.
GLS helps students acquire the broad skills and knowledge of the social sciences and humanities needed to become independent thinkers, lifelong learners, and responsible global citizens in a rapidly changing world. The program is available to international students from every nationality and walk of life. Not only that but Japanese that want to challenge themselves in the diverse environment that is GLS.


Inclusive Discussion
Our Open Campus will host an inclusive discussion amongst professors, current, and perspective students to stimulate debate in contemporary global issues and intercultural communications. Feel free to sit among friends and explore the issues first-hand.

Inclusive Discussion with Professor James D'Angelo
Topic: "Language and Global Business Negotiation"
Outline: Students will conduct a mock business negotiation which involves a marketing group at "Bryan Airlines" debating with the company's top management about whether or not to expand their international flight service.

Inclusive Discussion with Professor John Esposito
Topic: "Peace and Security in the Asia-Pacific"
Outline: After four brief student presentations on peace and security issues in their countries, there will be a round-table discussion concerning the entire Asia-Pacific region.

Campus Tour
We will also be conducting a tour of the Chukyo campus where you can get a feel of the sights and sounds of daily life here with us. GLS students themselves will be your guide as you take a brief glimpse into what studying here at Chukyo is all about.

Directions: Chukyo University's Annex Building is approximately 16 minutes from Nagoya Station by subway. If you are arriving by subway use Exit 6 from within Yagoto Station (八事駅) where student staff will guide you.
