Application documents
- 1. Fulfilled application form ( provided by Chukyo University)
Prior approval by a faculty member is required.
- 2. Proof of graduation (or anticipated graduation) from the last school attended or official certificate issued by a government agency ( A copy will not be accepted.)
- 3. Certified transcripts from the last school attended, or official proof issued by a government agency ( A copy will not be accepted.)
- 4. Letter of recommendation either from the principal or from the applicant's academic supervisor of the last school attended ( A copy will not be accepted.)
- 5. Certificate of Level 1 of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (‘Nihongo Noryoku Shiken’), an official score report of Japanese as a Foreign Language on the Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students (EJU), or an official proof of equivalent language proficiency ( A copy will not be accepted.)
- 6. Copy of an official document stating qualifications to stay in Japan ( for those living in Japan) ( e.g. Alien registration settlement certificate, etc.)
*Those living outside Japan may submit the document above soon after admission.
- 7. A photocopy of passport page where name, date of birth, passport no., issuing agency, issuing date are written
- 8. Letter of guarantee ( Form provided by Chukyo University)
- 9. Medical examination form ( Form provided by Chukyo University)
- 10. Curriculum vitae, including name, date of birth, permanent address, present address, education ( e.g.: university attended, dates of attendance and graduation), skills, qualifications, etc.
- 11. Proof of passing the examination for studying abroad, given by applicant's country (Only for those who have an examination for studying abroad)
- 12. Incumbency certificate for those applying for the School of Sports (Form provided by Chukyo University)
- *When applying as a continuing student, submit documents 1, 6, 7, 8, and 9.
- *Documents 2, 3, 4, 8, 9 and 12 should be issued within three months prior to application.
- *4 and 5 are unnecessary for a Chukyo University graduate.
- *The original certificates and other official documents ( 2, 3, and 5) will be returned after the application process is completed.

Notes related to application process
When all the application documents are ready to submit, please let all the application documents examined by Office for the Academic Affairs. The approval stamp of academic supervisor has to be affixed on the application form only after Office for the Academic Affairs has examined the documents.

Admission process and capacity
Decisions of admission will be made in Faculty Meetings in December, March, May, or September, based on documents submitted.
Capacity: Less than 3 research students per an academic supervisor

Notice of results
Notice will be sent to applicants by mail.

Registration and tuition
Proceed in accordance with the "Registration Procedures" in the registration documents, mailed with the acceptance letter. Pay the following registration fees upon registration;

*The research fee for Chukyo University graduates is 50 percent of this figure.

Research period is one year, starting on April 1st , or on September 21st.
